HHSO presents “Tales from the East”
An Italian Grand Opera set in Japan, the Russian classic that inspired “Kismet”, a colorful violin concerto by Chinese-American composer Chen Yi to usher in the Chinese New Year and fantastic adventures of a Hungarian folk hero be performed in the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra. Violinist Mimi Tan will join the orchestra in this salute to music about Eastern Europe and the Far East. The concert, seventh in the Master Series, will take place at Hilton Head’s First Presbyterian Church at 8 p.m. on Monday, February 11.
